Policy and planning
Ghana National Green Jobs Strategy revision
Policy review, consultation evidence and implementation planning for Ghana’s green employment agenda.
The assignment
The Ghana National Green Jobs Strategy revision connects environmental priorities with employment, skills and enterprise development. The ongoing assignment reviews experience with the earlier strategy and considers how public institutions, employers, workers and local authorities can support practical pathways into decent green work.
Our contribution combines policy review, preparation of consultation material, analysis of stakeholder inputs and strategy drafting. National and regional evidence informs the treatment of skills, enterprise development, access to finance, inclusion, working conditions and technology. The review also considers how national priorities can be carried into sector and district plans.
Implementation receives attention throughout the work. Proposed actions need clear institutional responsibilities, financing arrangements, indicators and a workable route for reporting progress. The strategy revision therefore connects its priorities with delivery arrangements and monitoring requirements.
This is continuing work with a wider review team. The project account records the contribution to preparation and consultation. The assignment illustrates how our policy and planning services bring evidence, institutional roles and the practical requirements of implementation into the same process.
