Training and facilitation
Community leadership and facility stewardship training
A three day programme for traditional authorities, Assembly representatives and youth groups.
The assignment
The AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem Community Trust Fund programme brought traditional authorities, Assembly representatives, project committee members and youth groups into a three day learning process. Delivered from 1 to 3 September 2026, it addressed the responsibilities involved in community leadership and the continued use and care of community facilities.
Research Solutions contributed through Ibrahim Musah’s facilitation within the delivery team led by K3AAA Ventures. The programme covered leadership, facility stewardship, conflict management, stakeholder engagement, financial accountability, environmental stewardship, inclusion, safeguarding and employability. The sequence recognised the different responsibilities of traditional and institutional leaders and youth participants.
Presentations, discussion, learning videos and workbook tasks gave participants opportunities to work through practical situations. Sessions addressed matters such as fair access to facilities, communication about opportunities, responses to conflict and the records needed for accountability. The closing stages brought these ideas into facility sustainability action planning.
The assignment demonstrates our training approach: establish the responsibilities participants face, use examples they recognise and turn the learning into tools and actions they can apply in their own settings.
